The disease is called Lou Gehrig's disease. My grandmother also died. In not sure the exact name of the disease, but its known as ALS. I do not think that there will be a cure, and is a very devastating disease. Thus, Steven Hawking, and in a wheelchair and communicates with a computer is limited. Just do a search for Lou Gehrig's disease and Im sure you will find not only the exact name, but also very instructive.
